Jammu and Kashmir Snowfall: Continuous light to moderate snowfall in Srinagar and surrounding areas has severely disrupted daily life. Several roads have been closed due to the snowfall, and air services have also been affected, with flights being cancelled.
Due to the snowfall, snow accumulated on the air-side pavement of Srinagar International Airport since Friday morning, disrupting flight operations. To normalise the situation, Border Roads Organisation teams are continuously working to clear the snow from the operational area to make the runway safe for flights.
Flight Cancellations: Total of 50 flights cancelled

Meanwhile, snowfall is having the most significant impact on road traffic. Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag NH-244 and several other highways in the Jammu-Srinagar region have been closed as a precautionary measure due to heavy snow accumulation. Currently, no vehicles are being allowed to travel from Jammu to Srinagar or from Srinagar to Jammu. In addition, Mughal Road, Sinthan Road, and SSG Road are already closed, effectively bringing road connectivity to the Kashmir Valley to a standstill.
Jammu and Kashmir Snowfall: Administration appealed to travellers

The administration and traffic police have strongly advised people to avoid unnecessary travel until all roads are completely cleared and declared safe for traffic. Passengers and the general public have also been urged not to pay attention to rumours and to rely only on official information.
