Indore Contaminated Water Deaths: 34 people in critical condition

The negligence of the authorities is so extreme that even after the first death from vomiting and diarrhea on December 26, those responsible took no action. On Monday, of the approximately 100 people who arrived at the hospital, 34 were in such serious condition that they had to be admitted. This incident occurred in the Bhagirathpura area of Indore, which falls under the Indore-1 constituency of the state’s Urban Development and Housing Minister, Kailash Vijayvargiya.
Increased Complaints of Vomiting and Diarrhoea

According to reports, people in the Bhagirathpura area have been falling ill continuously since December 24. Initially, there were only a few patients, but the number gradually increased. Following complaints of vomiting and diarrhea, several people were admitted to the hospital. The government has now taken significant action in this matter. Due to the infection of local residents by contaminated water, the government has suspended Zonal Officer Zone 4 Shaligram Shitole and In-charge Assistant Engineer PHE Yogesh Joshi. The services of In-charge Sub-Engineer PHE Shubham Srivastava have also been terminated. The Chief Minister has tweeted about this action on X (formerly Twitter).
