At Mumbai airport itself, 118 flights cancelled on Thursday, with many of the flights delayed for more than 2-3 hours. Passengers booking on the same-day emergency travel are also facing drastic rise in fares yet being stuck for hours at gates for boarding. A source from the aviation confirmed that 74 departures and 44 arrivals are being cancelled.

This disruption affected 65% of the domestic flights, also resulted in increase of airfares, On December 5th, MakeMyTrip showed a minimum fare of ₹40,579 for a flight from Delhi to Mumbai, while some flights were priced as high as ₹38,676. This sudden surge in prices is largely attributed to the recent disruptions at IndiGo. IndiGo has time till 10 February, 2026 to fully stabilise operations and sought the working procedures. IndiGo is country’s largest airline, which now has cancelled more than 1,000 flights since Tuesday, and resulting thousnads of passengers stranded. More than 1,000 flight of IndiGo have been cancelled since Tuesday and is continuing at several airports across India while this disruption in the world of airline is continuing to horrify the passengers. New Regulations – Implementation of Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) rules — New regulations governing pilot and crew working and rest periods necessitated changes to IndiGo’s existing scheduling, impacting several flights.
