ILNA New Vice President: The 81st Annual General Meeting of the Indian Language Newspaper Association (ILNA) took place at New Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi. Newspaper owners and editors from many states attended. The Chief Guest of the event was Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav. In his address, he promised full support to ILNA and praised President Pohre for his transparent work and his dedication to farmers.
The meeting was led by Sunil Dang, former ILNA President and National President of the Social Media Association. ILNA was formed in Maharashtra in 1940 to support regional and local newspapers across India.
During the meeting, members from different states unanimously approved the income–expenditure report and all agenda items. Because seven executive members had retired, elections were held according to the rules.

After completing the process, the Returning Officer, Sunil Dang, declared the following members elected unopposed: Prakash Pohre, Ravi Bishnoi, Ankit Bishnoi, Devendra Singh Tomar, Lalit Bhardwaj, Arjun Chopra, and Sanjay Gupta.

In the executive meeting that followed, Prakash Pohre, Editor-in-Chief of Dainik Deshonnati, was unanimously elected National President. He was given the authority to select his team.

Under his authority, President Pohre also announced eight more executive members: Rammohan Raghuvanshi (Bhopal), Krishna Shevdikar (Nanded), Prakash Kulthe (Shirdi), Ashok Kaushik (Delhi), Ashok Navratna (Lucknow), Sharad Wankhede (Akola), Suresh Babu (Kerala), and Surendrakumar Sharma (Delhi).
Pohre emphasized that “Organization is Power.” To expand ILNA’s membership, he appointed five state presidents: Dr. Lalit Bhardwaj (Uttar Pradesh), PG Suresh Babu (Kerala), Vishal Rawat (Delhi), Ashok Kaushik (NCR), and Ashok Navratan (Lucknow), asking them to work actively to bring in new members. Former ILNA President, Honorable Mr. Sunil Dang ji and Mr. Bhushan Jain sahab (Punjab Kesari) were declared as Senior Advisors by Mr. Pohre for all the upcoming executive meetings.

Meanwhile, the ILNA members also congratulated Vivek Gupta, CMD of Sanmarg Media Group, on becoming the President of INS. President Pohre welcomed and honored him. In his speech, Vivek Gupta congratulated Pohre and said that ILNA and INS would work together to face future challenges.
Many ministers and senior leaders from the Central and Maharashtra governments also sent their congratulations to Pohre. Members appreciated the good food and accommodation provided at the event. The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Bhubaneswar in January 2026. The program ended with a meal, attended by a large number of members from across the country.
