Heavy Rainfall Alert: In 2025, monsoon season in India was significantly better than in previous years. Most states received good and timely rainfall from June to September, providing considerable relief to farmers. Typically, rainfall ceases after the monsoon withdraws and cold weather sets in, but this year the weather is presenting a different picture. Despite onset of colder temperatures, several states are still experiencing rainfall.

According to weather experts, 2025 was a very good year in terms of rainfall, and there are indications that 2026 may also see good rainfall across the country. Meanwhile, weather has taken another turn, and India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several parts of the country.
