Diwali Holidays, School Closed in Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, a holiday has been declared for students to celebrate the festivals. The Rajasthan Education Department has issued instructions to close all schools from October 13th to 24th. Director of Education Sitaram Jat stated that schools in Rajasthan will remain closed for 12 days, and classes will resume on October 25th.
School Closed in UP
Preparations for Diwali are in full swing in Uttar Pradesh. According to the holiday list, schools in Uttar Pradesh have been declared closed for Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj. Schools in Uttar Pradesh will be closed for three days, from October 20, 2025, to October 23, 2025.
School Closed in Delhi
A three-day holiday has also been announced for students in Delhi. Schools will be closed on Sunday, October 19th; Narak Chaturdashi on the 20th; Govardhan Puja on October 22nd; Bhai Dooj on October 23rd; and the major festival of Chhath Puja on October 28th.
School Closed in Bihar
Chhath, the biggest festival in Bihar, is celebrated with great pomp and show for several days. Schools and colleges in Bihar will be closed from October 20, 2025, to October 29, 2025, for Chhath Puja, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj.
School Closed in Telangana
Schools in Telangana will be closed only on Diwali. Schools are closed on the weekends of October 18th and 19th, 2025, and Diwali has been declared a holiday. Consequently, schools in Telangana will remain closed for three days.
