Delhi Police Arrested 8 Terrorists: The country’s intelligence agencies had expressed fears of terrorist attacks in several states, including the capital, Delhi. Now, Delhi Police has exposed a major terrorist, Sajida, and arrested six suspected terrorists from Tamil Nadu and two from West Bengal. The investigation, which began after posters with slogans like “Free Kashmir” and “Stop Genocide in Kashmir” were put up in several areas of Delhi and Kolkata over the past 10 days, has now reached an international terrorist network.

According to the police, these terrorists were plotting a terrorist attack at the behest of Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI, and Bangladeshi terrorist organisations. Bangladeshi citizens are among the arrested suspects. Delhi Police recovered dozens of mobile phones and SIM cards from them.

According to Delhi Police, the suspects arrested in Tamil Nadu were posting content on social media in support of Pakistan-based terrorist organisations. Two suspects were arrested from Uthukuli, three from Palladam, and one from Tirumuruganpoondi in Tamil Nadu.

It has been revealed that the suspects concealed their identities and worked in the garment industry using fake Aadhaar cards. According to police sources, these suspects allegedly posed as terrorist aides and conducted recce of several cities. They also put up posters promoting “Free Kashmir” in Delhi. They were also involved in other suspicious activities.

Initial investigations also revealed that the mobile phones recovered from the suspects were allegedly used to share content supporting banned terrorist organisations and maintain contact with suspected handlers. However, the communication records have been sent for forensic examination to analyse them and identify possible links to a larger network.

Delhi Police stated that the arrests were made following specific intelligence input regarding inflammatory online activity and suspicious interactions with radicalised individuals operating across the border. Police conducted raids at various locations in Tamil Nadu and apprehended the suspects. The suspects were identified as Mizanur Rahman, Mohammed Shabat, Umar, Mohammed Litan, Mohammed Shahid, and Mohammed Ujjal.

A total of 8 arrests have been made so far in this terrorist module. Recently, the Delhi Police arrested two suspects from West Bengal. Currently, the Delhi Police have brought all of them to Delhi by train. The suspects are expected to be interrogated there, which is likely to lead to further revelations.
