Delhi News: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took a significant step towards strengthening Delhi’s healthcare sector on Friday. She inaugurated 51 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the capital from Fatehpur Beri village in South Delhi. With the opening of these centres, the total number of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in Delhi has increased to 370. This achievement, achieved in just eight months, is being hailed as a major success by the government.

The Chief Minister stated that her government’s top priority is ensuring timely, affordable, and easily accessible healthcare for every citizen. She also inaugurated various development projects worth ₹322 crore in the Chhatarpur Assembly constituency.

South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Chhatarpur MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar, Municipal Councillor Sunder Singh Tanwar, senior officials, and a large number of residents were present at the event. The Chief Minister inspected the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and took a detailed look at the facilities available there. He also ensured that all necessary tests, availability of medicines, and treatment services are being conducted systematically, and that citizens are receiving timely, quality healthcare.

CM Rekha Gupta: Expansion of Health Services and the Government’s Vision

The Chief Minister stated that the establishment of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs has brought positive change to Delhi’s healthcare system. These centres provide people not only treatment but also health awareness and disease prevention services. He stated that the government considers health not an expense but an investment in the future.

According to the Chief Minister, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are not merely treatment centres; they are being developed as centres of prevention, awareness, and trust. He stated that when the intention is clear and the goal is strong, results are achieved rapidly. The establishment of 370 Arogya Mandirs in less than a year reflects this commitment. He also announced that the government will soon achieve the target of establishing more than 1,100 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.

Free and Modern Healthcare Facilities

The Chief Minister stated that these Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are providing comprehensive and modern healthcare services to people in their own areas. Nearly 80 types of tests are being conducted free of charge, essential medicines are provided free of charge, and advanced diagnostic services and cancer screening are also available.

These centres also provide vital services such as vaccinations, maternal and child health services, elderly care, and screening for non-communicable diseases. Modern and friendly infrastructure has been developed keeping in mind the convenience of patients. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that these facilities will relieve people from long queues at larger hospitals and ensure timely treatment.

Development Projects Worth Rs. 322 Crore in Chhattarpur

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta laid the foundation stone for several key development projects worth over Rs. 322 crore in the Chhattarpur Assembly constituency of South Delhi. These projects include road construction and strengthening, drain construction and improvements, infrastructure upgrades to reduce traffic congestion, school upgrades, and the expansion of public facilities.

In addition, work will also be done to improve the infrastructure in colonies. The Chief Minister informed that a double-decker flyover has been approved on the Mehrauli-Badarpur Road at a cost of ₹1,471 crore. Three new schools will be established in the Chhatarpur area. Four elevated road projects have also been approved in Chhatarpur and the surrounding areas. The government states that these projects will improve traffic flow in the area, strengthen infrastructure, and improve the quality of life for the people.
