Delhi News: Delhi got a new Lieutenant Governor today, Wednesday. Senior diplomat Taranjit Singh Sandhu assumed office as the capital’s Lieutenant Governor. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with several ministers and dignitaries, were present at the swearing-in ceremony. The Chief Minister congratulated Sandhu, saying his experience would give new impetus to Delhi’s development.

After the swearing-in, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta welcomed the new Lieutenant Governor and said that the Delhi government would work together under his leadership. Delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa also congratulated the new Lieutenant Governor. In his social media post, he stated that Delhi High Court Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya administered the oath of office to Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Sirsa expressed confidence that Sandhu’s experience, vision, and leadership will give a new direction to Delhi’s development and administration.
