Delhi Janakpuri Bike Accident: A young man died tragically after his motorcycle fell into a deep pit dug by the Delhi Jal Board in the Janakpuri area of Delhi. This incident has sparked a political storm in the capital. A war of words has erupted between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the BJP, with both parties trading accusations.
Regarding this accident, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal on Janakpuri Accident) launched a scathing attack on the BJP government. Posting on the social media platform X, he said that this was not merely an accident but a “murder” caused by negligence.
https://t.co/6aQv4KKtYy

Delhi Janakpuri Bike Accident: What did Kejriwal say?

Kejriwal wrote that the BJP government has learned no lesson from similar incidents that have occurred in Noida. He alleged that negligence and irresponsible behavior have now become the hallmark of BJP-ruled governments, and ordinary people are paying the price. He also expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased young man and prayed to God to give them the strength to bear this grief.
Saurabh Bhardwaj also raises questions
Earlier, Saurabh Bhardwaj, a former minister in the Delhi government, also reacted to the incident. He said that an innocent motorcyclist fell into a deep pothole on the road and got trapped. He claimed that the young man lay in the same pothole all night, which led to his death. Bhardwaj alleged that similar incidents have happened before, but the government has not learned any lessons from them. He said that if safety measures had been taken on time and the potholes had been properly covered, this life could have been saved.
Administration’s silence and ongoing investigation
So far, no official statement has been issued by the concerned department or the BJP regarding this entire matter. The police have registered a case and started an investigation into the accident. Efforts are being made to find out why the pothole was left open and why the necessary safety arrangements were not made. Local residents say that excavation work had been going on in the area for a long time, but the potholes were not properly covered. There was also insufficient lighting at night, which further increased the risk of accidents.
Public anger over increasing negligence
After this incident, anger is being seen among the general public towards the administration. People are questioning why safety rules are not followed when work is being done on the road. Many people say that lives have been lost due to such negligence before, but the situation is not improving. Currently, the results of the police investigation are awaited. Meanwhile, political rhetoric is continuously intensifying. It remains to be seen whether any action is taken against those responsible in this case.
