Delhi Cloud Seeding Failed: Several efforts were made to trigger artificial rainfall in Delhi to help reduce pollution levels. An aircraft departed from Kanpur, conducting three trials during which eight flares were released. However, the much-anticipated cloud seeding operation did not yield the desired results in producing rain across parts of Delhi. According to IIT Kanpur Director Meindra Agarwal, the primary reason for the limited success was the lack of adequate moisture in the clouds. He also emphasized that cloud seeding should be seen only as an emergency measure and not a long-term solution to Delhi’s pollution problem.

What did IIT Kanpur say?
IIT Kanpur said that the cloud-seeding campaign scheduled for today in Delhi has been postponed due to insufficient moisture in the clouds as the process is highly dependent on favourable atmospheric conditions, hence another attempt to induce artificial rain will be made soon.
