Dal lake Guest House Fire: A fire erupted on Saturday morning in a guesthouse near Ghat Number 1, located close to Dal Lake in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. One person found injured in this incident, and guesthouse also sustained significant damage.
Matter of relief is that no one lost their lives due to the incident. According to the officials, fire was reported tot he State Fire control Room in Batamaloo at 8:41 AM. Fire teams as well emergency services from the Nehru Fire Park station immediately reached the spot while continued to rescue people and extinguish fire.
Fire Breaks Out at Srinagar’s Dal Lake Guest House; Swift response prevents major damage

Officials stated that due to crowded nature of the area, additional request was requested. Initial investigations suggested that fire broke out from three-story guest house of Dal. Guest House sustained with damages, Firefighters began as soon as officers arrived.
Fire was brought under control immediately afterwards, preventing this from spreading to nearby buildings. Initial investigations have ruled out of a short circuit as the cause of fire.
Further investigations have now been launched to determine exact cause of incident. Special dog squad from the fire department and emergency services was also called to the affected area to search for any flammable materials or bodies. This incident lead to fear and stir in the area but swift action of the fire teams prevented major damage.
Kashmir Dal Lake Fire Incident: Sudden Fire Lead to Panic in the Area

Smoke was so intense that was seen billowing from the Dal Gate Guest House, and within minutes whereas fire escalated into a massive blaze. These flames spread rapidly caused panic in the surrounding areas. Local residents immediately informed the police and fire department. In a densely populates area like Srinagar, fire incident feared the people.

After receiving the information about the fire, several fire engines reached to the Dal Gate Guest House, firefighters are continuously worked upon the incident to bring the fire under their control. Whereas high flames and thick smokes are making it difficult to extinguish the fire.
