CM Yogi on Budget Highlights: The Uttar Pradesh government on February 11 presented its 10th consecutive Budget, marking a significant milestone in the state’s fiscal journey. Soon after the Budget was tabled in the Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a press conference to outline its key highlights and vision for the year ahead.

Calling it a historic moment, CM Yogi said that for the first time, a Chief Minister has had the opportunity to present the state Budget for the 10th time. He also emphasized that over the past nine years, the government has not imposed any new taxes, underlining its commitment to growth without additional financial burden on citizens.

The Chief Minister noted that Uttar Pradesh has now emerged as the third-largest economy in the country — a significant leap in its development trajectory. With a total outlay of ₹9.12 lakh crore, he described the 2026 Budget as a reflection of the state’s transformation over the last nine years, driven by innovation, infrastructure expansion, and inclusive development.

According to CM Yogi, the Budget not only builds on past achievements but also lays a strong foundation for accelerating growth, investment, and opportunities across sectors in the coming years.

  • Under the world’s largest food storage scheme, the government will provide subsidy for building warehouses and godowns.

  • The Chief Minister said that 12.4 percent of the total budget has been kept for education.
  • 6 percent is earmarked for medical services.
  • Along with this, 9 percent will be spent on agriculture related schemes.

  • Under the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign Scheme, guarantee-free and interest-free loans are being provided to the youth starting micro industries.
  • With this, the youth will be able to become self-reliant by starting their own business.

Sports material to 90 thousand Mangal Dals

  • While presenting the budget in the Assembly, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that till now sports material has been given to 90 thousand Mangal Dals.
  • The government is continuously working to promote sports and youth development.

  • Speaking on Budget 2026, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that strong law and order is the guarantee of real development.

Increased assistance for daughters’ marriage

  • Further expansion in Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme.
  • Under this scheme, the assistance amount given for the marriage of daughters of all categories has been increased from Rs 51,000 to Rs 1.01 lakh.
  • A provision of Rs 750 crore has been made for this scheme.
