The incident took place last Wednesday night. The younger brother was drinking at home, and when his elder brother told him to stop, he became extremely angry and attacked him.
Blind Brother Murdered: Elder brother Kundan was blind
Kundan, the man who died, lived with his sister Kanchan and younger brother Chandan. Their parents had passed away earlier. Kundan was blind, so he stayed at home while Chandan and Kanchan went out to work. Even though he was weak, Kundan cared a lot for his brother and sister and wanted a peaceful home.
Alcohol Dispute Murder Case: Chandan’s family was troubled by his alcoholism
Kanchan, their sister, said that Chandan often brought his friends home to drink alcohol. They would make noise late at night, and fights would happen often. Kundan and Kanchan tried many times to explain things to him, but Chandan did not listen. On Wednesday night too, he was drinking at home with his friend, Raju Chaurasia.
UP Crime News: Dispute escalated at 2 am
Around two o’clock that night, Kundan advised Chandan not to have a drinking party inside the house, as it would bring disrepute to the neighborhood and the family. Hearing this, Chandan became furious. He mocked Kundan’s lack of vision, saying, “You can’t see anything, but you still insult me!” Enraged by this, he, along with his friend Raju, began attacking Kundan.
Blind Brother Murdered: Brutal beating with bricks and rods
According to Kanchan, Chandan first hit his elder brother on the head with a brick, then continued attacking him with a rod. Kundan screamed loudly, but Chandan showed no mercy. Within minutes, he had Kundan’s condition got so severe that he died on the spot.
He also tried to kill his sister
When Kanchan heard screams from the upstairs room, she rushed downstairs. She tried to stop her brother Chandan, but he even tried to attack her. Scared, Kanchan shouted for help, and the neighbors came running. Seeing people gather, Chandan ran away, but his friend Raju was caught.
The police reached the spot after being informed. They sent Kundan’s body for post-mortem and started investigating the case. On Thursday, at the post-mortem center, Kanchan cried and said, “My brother was blind, but he loved us a lot. After our parents died, he always told us to stay together. But Chandan ruined everything.” The police have detained Raju, and they are still searching for Chandan.
