BJP Candidate List 2025: Today, October 14th, the BJP released its first list of candidates for the 2025 Bihar elections. The party has expressed confidence in 71 names in this list. Veteran party leader Samrat Chaudhary has been nominated for the Tarapur seat. However, Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh and folk singer Maithili Thakur are not included in the BJP’s first list, sparking speculation within political circles.

Neither Pawan Singh nor Maithili Thakur’s name is included in the BJP’s first list. Most importantly, the party did
not include Nand Kishore Yadav in its first list of candidates. Seven-time MLA Nand Kishore Yadav’s name is missing from this list. Yadav’s ticket from Patna Sahib has been cut. Meanwhile, Minister Motilal Prasad’s ticket from Riga has been cut. Ramsurat Rai has been selected from Aurai.

However, Maithili Thakur’s name is being discussed as a candidate for the ticket. There are reports that she may be fielded from Alinagar. Meanwhile, after the list was released, Maithili Thakur told news agency ANI, “I do not intend to contest the election. However, I will follow whatever instructions the party gives.”

Not only this, the BJP appeased Manjhi and Kushwaha, who were upset with the NDA seat sharing, by increasing their seats by one each. This means that both will now have seven seats each. Regarding the NDA seat sharing, the BJP and JDU will contest 101 seats. Chirag Paswan, meanwhile, has secured 29 seats. Furthermore, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha’s parties have had to settle for seven seats each.
