On this occasion, Aichi Steel Corporation, a renowned Japanese steel company, committed to further strengthening its collaboration with Vardhman Special Steels in Punjab. A formal agreement was signed between the two companies in the presence of the Chief Minister.

Aichi Steel will conduct a detailed study on the feasibility of establishing a new factory in Punjab in the near future. This includes evaluating an investment of approximately ₹500 crore. Existing Japanese Companies to Receive Full Support

Bhagwant Singh Mann assured that the Punjab government will provide full encouragement and support to Japanese companies operating in the state to expand their businesses. He said that the combination of Aichi Group’s technology and Vardhman’s expertise will pave the way for new industrial growth in the state.

Invitation to Participate in Investor Summit

The Chief Minister also invited Aichi Steel to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investor Summit 2026, scheduled to take place from March 13 to 15, 2026, at the Indian School of Business, Mohali. He said that this summit will showcase Punjab’s rapid progress and bring together major investors from the industry on a single platform. He expressed hope that the Japanese industry will participate in large numbers in this summit and make a significant contribution to the development of Punjab.
