Arvind Kejriwal LPG shortage statement: Arvind Kejriwal has strongly criticised the central government over the ongoing LPG shortage in the country, claiming that the crisis could put nearly 10 million people at risk of unemployment. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has weakened India’s independent foreign policy and turned the country into a “colony of America” under pressure from Donald Trump.

Kejriwal questioned why the Prime Minister visited Israel just a day before the outbreak of war and claimed the move angered longtime partner Iran, worsening the LPG supply crisis in India. He also argued that India historically followed a non-aligned foreign policy, but recent actions show the government siding with the United States and Israel. Kejriwal said that if the Prime Minister fears his secrets being exposed by Trump, he should resign rather than put the country in difficulty.

Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on the Prime Minister over the deepening LPG gas crisis across the country. Blaming the Prime Minister’s mistakes for this, he said that there is a severe shortage of LPG gas across the country. Due to this, more than 10 million people are at risk of unemployment. Modi has turned the country into a US colony in front of Trump. What compulsion does Modi have? Why did he need to go to Israel under Trump’s pressure a day before the war began? By angering his old friend Iran, the Prime Minister has plunged the entire country into a severe LPG gas crisis.

Arvind Kejriwal said that India’s foreign policy has always been non-aligned, but Modi has appeared to side with America and Israel. It seems that Narendra Modi is a weak Prime Minister. That is why he accepts every order from Trump with a bowed head and a “yes sir.” What secret does Trump have that has made the Prime Minister so helpless? If Modi is afraid of his secrets being revealed to Trump, he should resign, but don’t ruin the country.

India’s LPG production has decreased by 50 percent due to the closure of the State of Hormos – Kejriwal

At a press conference at the AAP headquarters on Wednesday with MP Sanjay Singh and leader Jasmine Shah, Arvind Kejriwal said that the country is currently facing a serious crisis. There is a severe shortage of LPG gas across the country. LPG gas is used for cooking in homes, in restaurants, hotels, and in industries, among other purposes. The main reason behind this severe shortage is the approximately 50 percent reduction in the daily production of LPG gas in our country. 60 percent of our country’s LPG consumption is imported. Of this 60 percent import, 90 percent of LPG gas comes from the State of Hormos. The State of Hormos has been closed to India. In this way, LPG gas imports have decreased by 90%. Consequently, LPG production in our country has now decreased by 50-55%.

Central Government has banned supply of LPG gas to restaurants and hotels – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that restaurants and hotels are bearing the brunt of the LPG crisis. The Central Government has issued an order that LPG gas will not be provided to restaurants and hotels. Restaurants and hotels cannot stockpile LPG due to safety concerns. Therefore, restaurants and hotels are supplied with LPG cylinders based on their daily consumption. If the supply of LPG gas were to suddenly stop, they would not have enough stock for even a day or two.

If the crisis continues, thousands of restaurants and hotels will close in the next two days – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that 20% of hotels and restaurants in Mumbai have closed due to the LPG cylinder shortage. In the next two days, 50 percent of restaurants and hotels are going to close. Similarly, in Tamil Nadu, approximately 10,000 hotels and restaurants are on the verge of closure. Thousands of hotels and restaurants are going to close in the coming days in Punjab and NCR. This is the wedding season. If the LPG gas crisis continues, many people will have to postpone their weddings. Similar problems are being faced in other states, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and Bihar.

Due to the deepening LPG gas crisis, there is rampant black marketing – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that Morbi in Gujarat is considered the capital of the tile industry. There are approximately 650 industries there. Of these, 170 industries have closed, leaving approximately 100,000 people unemployed. Due to the deepening LPG gas crisis, more than 10 million people across the country are expected to become unemployed. We cannot imagine what the situation could be if people become unemployed on such a large scale. Recently, the central government has significantly increased the prices of domestic and commercial LPG gas. On the other hand, the deepening crisis has led to rampant black marketing of LPG gas in the market.

Arvind Kejriwal said that the country must understand why the LPG gas crisis has worsened in the country. This is happening because Israel and the United States attacked Iran. The State of Hormos is the largest exporter of oil and gas to the world. Iran has occupied the State of Hormos. Iran has stated that only its friendly countries will have the right to ship to and from the State of Hormos. Therefore, ships from Russia and China are being allowed to sail through the State of Hormos.

Prime Minister Modi has destroyed India’s non-aligned foreign policy – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that the biggest mistake Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made is that when we have no interest in a war, we should not support any side, but should have remained neutral. For the past 75 years, India’s foreign policy had been guided by a non-aligned policy. PM Modi dismantled it in a matter of days. He directly sided with the United States and Israel, and opposed Iran. Why did the Prime Minister need to visit Israel a day before the war? Why did PM Modi need to embrace Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu a day before the war began? By doing so, the PM has put the entire country in jeopardy.

For the past year, Prime Minister Modi has been a slave to Trump – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of the country are unable to understand why PM Modi is doing this. To date, India has never taken sides internationally. Even during the Cold War, India was a supporter of the Non-Aligned Movement. Even then, India did not take sides. The Prime Minister has directly sided with the US and Israel and turned India’s old friend, Iran, into an enemy. I feel extremely ashamed to use such words, but for the past year, it seems as if Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a slave to Trump.

Why is America blackmailing the Prime Minister? – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned India, a great country with a population of 1.4 billion, into a colony of America. The British were able to occupy our country because most of the kings who ruled India at that time were weak and could be blackmailed and bought. The British invaded India and occupied it. Today, America has occupied our country. Because, in a way, our Prime Minister is weak. The Prime Minister is being blackmailed. Why is the Prime Minister being blackmailed? Trump and small officials mock our Prime Minister and our country every day. The humiliation and insult we are experiencing makes every Indian’s blood boil.

Under Trump’s pressure, Modi imposed a zero percent duty on American cotton and stopped importing oil from Russia – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal asked what we had done that America mocks us daily. Our only fault is that our Prime Minister is a weak man. Whatever Trump orders, our Prime Minister bows his head and accepts it with a yes-man. Trump suggested reducing the duty on cotton imported from America to zero, so the Prime Minister said, “Yes, sir,” and he did. Because of this, millions of Indian farmers were ruined. Trump said, “Stop buying oil from Russia.” Modi said, “Yes, sir, let’s stop.” Stopping oil from Russia caused India an annual loss of ₹8 lakh crore. Trump declared that all goods imported by India would be subject to an 18 percent duty, while goods imported from the United States would be subject to a zero percent duty. Modi said, “Yes, sir,” and he did. Because of this, countless workers in the country became unemployed. Numerous industries shut down, and millions of farmers suffered losses. Now, Modi has sided with the United States and Israel in this war.

Trump is claiming that he has secrets that, if disclosed, would ruin Modi’s career. – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of the country want to know what the Prime Minister’s compulsion is. Trump must have some secrets about Modi, which is why Modi is so helpless. Trump is openly saying that he has some secrets about Modi, which if made public would ruin his career. If Modi believes that Trump has some shameful secrets about him that would harm him if they were made public, he should resign from his post, but not ruin the country. Someone else will become Prime Minister. If Modi fears that Trump will reveal his secrets to him, he should resign, but not ruin the country.

Central Government Should Strengthen Its Foreign Policy and Not Make India a Subservient to America – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that our country gained independence in 1947. At that time, India was very weak in many areas, including economically. Despite this, India was highly respected throughout the world. In 1971, the United States directly threatened then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi that if India attacked Pakistan, America would attack India. However, Indira Gandhi did not listen to America. India attacked Pakistan and liberated Bangladesh. There was a time when India walked with pride throughout the world. But today, PM Modi has brought India’s head down before the world. We want the central government to strengthen its foreign policy and not make India a slave to America. India should not bow down to Trump. Furthermore, India’s foreign policy should be formulated in accordance with the country’s interests. India’s foreign policy should not be a slave to Prime Minister Modi’s compulsions and weaknesses.
