AI Impact Summit 2026: The Ministry of Information and Technology has released a traffic advisory in view of the upcoming AI Summit being organised by the Government of India in Delhi. The summit, scheduled to take place from February 16 to 20, is expected to draw high-profile dignitaries and international delegates, leading to increased security arrangements and traffic restrictions across key parts of the city.
According to the advisory, commuters may experience traffic disruptions on major routes, particularly along the Expressway and prominent roads such as Shanti Path, Janpath, and Tilak Marg. Movement on these stretches could be temporarily regulated or diverted due to the arrival and movement of VIP convoys during the five-day event.
To minimise inconvenience to the public, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a detailed traffic management and diversion plan. The plan outlines alternative routes for daily commuters and identifies areas that are likely to witness heavy congestion at specific times. Authorities have advised residents to plan their journeys in advance, use public transport wherever possible, and stay updated through official traffic advisories and social media channels for real-time information.
