AAP Padyatra Update: “Give Jobs–Give Social Justice” march culminated in Varanasi after its journey from Mirzapur to Kashi, drawing a massive crowd from Sarnath to Shastri Ghat. During the concluding gathering, fourth phase of the march was also announced. Addressing the crowd, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said message to BJP government in Uttar Pradesh was clear-give jobs or provide a ₹10,000 unemployment allowance.
He asserted that politics would now revolve around employment and justice rather than caste and religion, accusing BJP of attempting to divert attention from real issues by spreading hatred. Singh added that the public has awakened and that only with the end of divisive politics can meaningful, issue-based political discourse begin.
The march concluded on Thursday with a visit to Sarnath, followed by a massive public meeting at Lal Bahadur Shastri Ghat, Sikraul. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh announced that the “Give Jobs – Give Social Justice” movement would not stop here, and that the fourth phase of the march would likely begin at the end of February, ensuring even greater public participation.
On the seventh and final day, the march, led by Sanjay Singh, began at 12 PM from Gokul Nikunj Banquet Hall, Haveliya Chowk, Sarnath, Varanasi, and reached the Sarnath temple after covering approximately one and a half kilometers. Along the entire route, people welcomed the march with showers of flowers, slogans, and spontaneous participation. Young people held posters demanding jobs, and the presence of elders, women, and children made it clear that this struggle was not just for a single day, but a fight for the future.
After visiting the Sarnath temple, Sanjay Singh reached Lal Bahadur Shastri Ghat, Sikraul, Nadesar, Varanasi, where he addressed a large public gathering. He stated that in today’s politics, real issues like education, health, electricity, water, roads, fertilisers, and employment are being deliberately pushed to the sidelines. He said that the politics of hatred is being promoted in the country so that people cannot ask questions.
Sanjay Singh slams Bulldozer Politics, reiterates Jobs or ₹10,000 Unemployment allowance demand

During the march from Mirzapur to Varanasi, houses were demolished by bulldozers in many places, land was seized in the name of widening roads and development projects, and thousands of acres were encroached upon. He said that a person builds a house with their entire life’s earnings, and the government destroys it in a minute. Sanjay Singh alleged that in Varanasi, even ancient temples, idols, and the statue of Ahilyabai Holkar were not spared, and when these issues were raised, cases were filed against those who raised them.
Questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Sanjay Singh asked why the government, which promised two crore jobs every year, could not provide 24 crore jobs in 12 years. He said that if Uttar Pradesh has received an investment of Rs 45 lakh crore, then at least 45 lakh young people should have received jobs.
He categorically stated that the Aam Aadmi Party’s demand is clear-either provide jobs, or give every young person above 18 years of age an unemployment allowance of Rs 10,000 every month. Speaking on social justice, he said that true adherence to the Constitution is social justice, but today Dalits, backward classes, and the underprivileged are constantly facing injustice. Emphasizing education, the Constitution, and the politics of brotherhood, he said that when the politics of hatred ends, the politics of issues will automatically strengthen.
Finally, Sanjay Singh said that the land of Sarnath has given the message of peace and non-violence to the world, and India will become a world leader only when it follows this path. He appealed to the public to participate in large numbers in the upcoming fourth phase of the march to further strengthen this fight for employment and social justice. He assured them that the issues of the people of Varanasi and Uttar Pradesh would be raised with full force on every platform of Parliament.
