AAP Criticises Gujarat Budget: Bharatiya Janata Party government’s Gujarat budget has drawn sharp criticism from AAP leaders, who termed it a betrayal of every section of society. Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the budget offers nothing substantial for schools, hospitals, roads, farmers, traders, women or youth, accusing the BJP of complacency after ruling the state for nearly three decades. He claimed that the party believes the opposition Congress poses no real challenge, which has led to a lack of accountability and performance.
Citing the work done by the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, including health insurance cover up to ₹10 lakh, he questioned why similar progress could not be achieved in Gujarat despite 30 years of BJP rule. Bhagwant Singh Mann also asserted that people disillusioned with both the BJP and Congress are now looking towards AAP as a credible alternative for change.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has sharply criticised BJP-led Gujarat government’s budget for neglecting the common people. AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that this budget is a betrayal of every section of society. There is nothing for any section of society, including schools, hospitals, roads, farmers, businessmen, women, and youth. He said that Congress is in the BJP’s pocket. The public will not vote for Congress.
Therefore, the BJP has become arrogant, wondering why it needs to work. Where will the public go if they leave it? This budget reflects the BJP government’s arrogance. The people of Gujarat, disappointed with the Congress and BJP, are looking to the Aam Aadmi Party with great hope, hoping to bring about change.
Arvind Kejriwal slams Gujarat budget, cites AAP’s ₹10 lakh health cover in Punjab to question BJP’s 30-year rule

Arvind Kejriwal said that the Gujarat budget was released two or three days ago. People have high expectations of the budget. The common man’s household budget largely depends on the government budget. What will be affordable and what will be expensive, what will happen to education and health, all this is determined by the budget. It is with great sadness that we have to say that this budget of the Gujarat BJP government contains nothing for the common people. The budget contains nothing for any segment of society, including education, health, roads, farmers, businesses, women, and unemployed youth.
Arvind Kejriwal stated that the Gujarat Assembly elections will be held in two and a quarter years. It’s often seen that as elections draw near, ruling parties fear the public and offer certain incentives to secure their votes. The Gujarat government doesn’t care about the public’s vote. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has provided health insurance of ₹10 lakh to every family. Very few people purchase health insurance up to ₹10 lakh.
With ₹10 lakh, even a poor person can access the best hospitals like Fortis and Max. In the 75-year history of independent India, no government has ever provided health insurance up to ₹10 lakh to the general public. However, the AAP government has achieved this in just four years. The BJP has been in power in Gujarat for the past 30 years, but has failed to provide such a facility. If the AAP government can do it in four years, the BJP should have done it by now.
Arvind Kejriwal said that a BJP leader told him that there was no need to provide health insurance to the people of Gujarat. He said, “Where will the people of Gujarat go, leaving the BJP?” The BJP has become so arrogant. They know that the people of Gujarat see that the Congress is in the BJP’s pocket. The people of Gujarat hate the Congress and don’t want to vote for it. The BJP has become so arrogant that it no longer needs to do anything. Therefore, the entire budget is dedicated solely to looting.
When the AAP government came to power in Punjab in 2022, only 23 percent of farms had access to irrigation water. But today, four years later, 67 percent of farms have access to water. The truth is that the BJP doesn’t feel the need to work in Gujarat. That’s why the people of Gujarat are looking towards the Aam Aadmi Party with hope. Wherever we go, we are seeing a storm.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the members of the Aam Aadmi Party come from ordinary families. Ishudan Gadhvi was a journalist, and today crowds gather to listen to him. Gopal Italia was a low-level police officer. Today, people across Gujarat love Gopal Italia very much. Other leaders, including Chatar Vasava, Praveen Ram, and Manoj Sohrathiya, are ordinary people. The public sees hope in them, which is why they come to listen. People hope that these people will change Gujarat.
On the other hand, there isn’t a single leader in the BJP today whom the public looks up to. People don’t look up to the BJP Chief Minister either. Similarly, there isn’t a single leader in the Congress party whom people look up to with hope. AAP leaders go live on social media and get a million views within an hour. If the BJP had run a good government, we wouldn’t have gotten a single view.
AAP Criticises Gujarat Budget

Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Gujarat are fed up with the BJP and Congress. The BJP has begun insulting the identity of the people of Gujarat, which the people will not tolerate. A person will eat one less roti, but will not tolerate their own humiliation. Farmers raise their voices and are jailed for months under false charges. These people don’t consider the people of Gujarat human. Even then, they say that people will not go anywhere and will vote for the BJP. But this time, people will not vote for the BJP. Now, the Aam Aadmi Party of the people of Gujarat has come into power. The Gujarat budget shows the arrogance of the BJP government. This budget is an insult to the people of Gujarat, and the people will respond in the elections.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the budget is worth millions and crores of rupees, but it’s not being utilised for the common people, and this has been a long-standing concern. This time, the national and Gujarat budgets are nearly identical, as they contain nothing for the common people, farmers, women, the poor, small businesses, and shopkeepers. The central budget is a big budget.
