Nationwide Rule Changes: PAN, train tickets, and tax deadlines shift
Starting July 1, 2025, significant nationwide regulation changes will affect financial transactions, including mandatory Aadhaar for PAN and Tatkal train ticket bookings. The deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar is December 31. The ITR filing deadline has been extended to September 15, and major banks are revising rules for cash transactions and credit card use.
Starting July 1, 2025, new regulations are being introduced nationwide, impacting the finances of the public and presenting challenges. Notably, changes have been made to various rules, including those related to Railway Ticket Booking, Pan Card, and bank charges. According to banks, these adjustments aim to facilitate transactions and enhance security. Let's delve into the specifics of these changes following the new regulations.
Aadhar required for PAN Card
Now Aadhar card has become necessary for new people to make PAN Card. Let us tell you that earlier PAN Card can be made only with the help of important documents, but now only Aadhar card has become necessary. At the same time, those whose Pan Card is not linked to Aadhar have also been given time till December 31 to link it with Aadhar.
Aadhar required for train ticket
Along with PAN Card, Aadhar has also been made mandatory for Tatkal train ticket booking. Now Aadhaar verification has become necessary to book tickets. Also, ticket booking will be done only after OTP verification.
Time to file tax return
In the new change, relief has been given to those who file ITR. Let us tell you that the date for filing ITR was till 31st July but now it has been extended. ITR can be filed till 15th September.
Changed rules for credit card
From July 1, big changes will be seen in banks as well. SBI, HDFC and ICICI have changed the rules for cash withdrawal, deposit and card holders.
