CM Rekha Gupta holds review meeting of development works in the national capital
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, while reviewing the development works in North-West Delhi, directed the officials to complete the work with high quality in a time-bound manner. Issues like repair of roads, water supply and street lighting were discussed in the meeting so that the residents of the area could get better facilities.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review the progress of development works in the North-West Delhi parliamentary constituency. During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held with MPs, MLAs and senior officials on major development projects of the region and related issues.
CM Rekha Gupta gave clear instructions to the officers to complete the development works in a time-bound manner with high quality. The meeting focused on important issues like repair of roads, water supply, street lighting and cleaning of drains. The Chief Minister directed to take concrete steps to improve these areas and speed up the works. He said that it is the priority of the government to provide better basic amenities to the residents of the area.
Construction of New Hospital Block
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ordered to complete the construction work of the new block of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital as soon as possible. He asked the officials to expedite the construction and ensure effective utilisation of resources to complete the work within the stipulated time frame. This new block will play an important role in strengthening health services in the region.
Priority was also given to the renovation work of the Ring Road from Vikaspuri to Mukarba Chowk. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta directed to complete the project at the earliest and announced that she would personally inspect the progress of the work on June 30. The renovation of this road will ease the traffic in the area and ease the movement of people.
Construction of Old Age Home to Begin Soon
Orders were also given to start the construction of old age home in Rohini Sector-4 soon. The project will provide better facilities to senior citizens. Additionally, emphasis was laid on redevelopment of DTC bus stands for the convenience of passengers. Facilities such as seating arrangements, shade and hygiene at the bus stand will be improved to provide a better experience to the passengers. To tackle the problem of waterlogging before the monsoon, the CM directed all the departments to give priority to cleaning of drains.
Emphasis on Improving the Drainage System
He asked the officials to ensure that the drainage system is repaired so that people do not face inconvenience during the rainy season. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta asked all the departments to maintain coordination and prepare a concrete action plan for timely completion of projects. He said that the government is committed to the development of North-West Delhi and all the works will be monitored regularly.
