PM Modi meets Delegation to enhance India's International Relations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met MPs of an all-party delegation who had returned from various countries. The meeting discussed foreign policy, global image and mutual cooperation. The MPs shared experiences and gave suggestions to strengthen India's image. Congratulating everyone, the Prime Minister listened to their experiences and considered the suggestions.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met members of a delegation who recently visited various countries and represented India. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. During this time, India's foreign policy, global image and mutual cooperation were discussed.
Members of Parliament from various parties who were part of the delegation also reacted and shared details of their discussions with the Prime Minister. Shiv Sena MP Dr Shrikant Shinde said that the Prime Minister had invited seven delegations together and he personally interacted with all of them.
He said the meeting lasted for about an hour in which the Prime Minister went to each table and spoke to representatives of different parties about their experiences. Shinde said the main focus of the discussion was on how to improve India's relations with other countries and how India's image abroad emerged.
He said the need to further deepen ties with African countries was also discussed. The special thing was that the leaders of various political parties unanimously talked about strengthening the image of India. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi described the meeting as encouraging. He said that the Prime Minister first congratulated all the delegation members and said that the mission assigned to us was either fully successful or almost completed, which was very inspiring.
He said the Prime Minister asked everyone about their experiences and interacted in an open atmosphere. He further said that we live in a democracy, where the opposition will ask questions and just as the ruling party takes out fronts from place to place, opposition voices are also natural. He described it as a symbol of the vibrancy of democracy. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Ashok Kumar Mittal appreciated the initiative of Prime Minister Modi and said that the Prime Minister invited all the delegations and interacted with them heartily. He interacted with each member individually to know how their experience went, what they would learn and what suggestions could help improve future strategies.
He said he suggested to the Prime Minister how to present India's views abroad and noted that India is now on its way to becoming the third largest economy. BJP MP Manan Mishra said that the Prime Minister had called all of us today, the meeting was good. He congratulated us and said such visits should be undertaken in future as well. During this time many leaders of the opposition were also present.
