NEET PG 2025: The NEET PG 2025 exam will now be conducted in a single shift at exam centres across the country. The verdict was pronounced by the Supreme Court on May 30 while hearing a petition challenging the decision to conduct the examination in two shifts.
The NEET PG 2025 exam will be conducted on June 15 in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. Earlier, the National Board of Examination (NBE) had released the schedule to conduct it in two shifts, but now after the court's directive, the exam will be taken in only one shift.
Supreme Court gives direction to NBE
The Supreme Court has instructed the NBE to hold the exam in one shift, ensuring transparency and fairness. The court stated that, given there is adequate time for exam preparation, examination centers can be identified and other essential arrangements can be made.
"There's still time for exams."
The court stated that there is sufficient time until June 15 for essential administrative and technical preparations for the examination. Therefore, the board must guarantee a well-structured system that offers equal opportunities.
The court stated that the second request for relief would only be reviewed once the examination is finished. The respondents contended that if the examination authority decides to designate more examination centers, it could prolong the process. This might postpone the examination, causing the counseling and admission procedures to exceed the designated timeframe. Nonetheless, the court rejected this argument.
When will the exam city slip be released?
The city slip containing the exam city information will be sent to the candidates appearing in the NEET PG exam on June 2. This slip will not be released on the official website, but will be sent by the National Medical Examination Board to the registered email id of the candidates. Candidates will be able to download it from their email.
When will the admit card be released?
The admit card will be made available about four days before the exam date. Candidates will be able to download it from the natboard.edu.in website with the help of their application number and date of birth. Candidates should note that without the hall ticket, they will not get admission in the examination center.
