PM Modi hails Operation Sindoor's impact on Terrorism
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mann Ki Baat lauded Operation Sindoor, describing it as a symbol of confidence and enthusiasm in the fight against terrorism. He said that this mission reflects the resolve and courage of the country, which has made every Indian proud.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the bravery of the armed forces during Operation Sindoor, noting that their actions against terrorism have instilled new confidence and enthusiasm in the global fight against terrorism.
Speaking at the 122nd Mann Ki Baat program, PM Modi remarked, "Today, the entire nation stands united against terrorism, filled with anger and determination. The courage displayed by our forces during Operation Sindoor has made every Indian proud. Operation Sindoor has provided new confidence and enthusiasm in the global fight against terrorism."
He characterized Operation Sindoor as a representation of the nation's determination, bravery, and evolving identity. 'Operation Sindoor is more than a military endeavor; it symbolizes our determination, bravery, and the transformation of India, inspiring patriotism across the country and enveloping it in the colors of the national flag.'
Discussing the 'Tiranga Yatras' being held nationwide following Operation Sindoor, he mentioned, 'You must have noticed that Tiranga Yatras took place in numerous cities, villages, and small towns across the country. Thousands of individuals participated, carrying the tricolour to honor and show respect for the nation's armed forces. During his monthly radio address, the Prime Minister stated, 'A significant number of young people in various cities united to become Civil Defence Volunteers; videos from Chandigarh gained widespread attention, poems were composed, and songs of determination were performed. Children created paintings that conveyed powerful messages.'
He mentioned that numerous families have opted to name their newborns after Operation Sindoor, indicating that the operation has significantly impacted the populace, integrating it into their lives. He noted that in places like Katihar in Bihar, Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh, and various other cities, children born during that time have been named 'Sindoor'. Highlighting the triumph of domestically produced weapons utilized during the military operation, PM Modi stated that the soldiers dismantled terror bases, showcasing their unparalleled bravery alongside the strength of Indian-made weapons, equipment, and technology.
Prime Minister Modi stated, 'Following this campaign, there is a newfound enthusiasm across the nation for 'Vocal for Local.' We will now purchase toys made in India for our children. Patriotism will begin in childhood. Some families have committed to spending their next vacation within our beautiful country. Many young people have promised to hold their weddings in India. Someone also mentioned, 'Every gift we give from now on will be crafted by an Indian artisan.' Operation Sindoor, initiated on May 7, 2025, in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, demonstrated a measured reaction characterized by precision, professionalism, and intent.
