Status and preparations of Corona in Delhi

There have been 23 new cases of corona in the capital Delhi till Thursday. Delhi Health Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh held an emergency meeting with officials on Friday and directed all government and private hospitals to remain alert and strengthen the testing process.

'Wearing masks mandatory, no need to panic'

The government has directed all staff and patients in hospitals to wear masks to prevent the spread of infection. Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh has appealed to the public not to panic, the government is fully alert and all necessary arrangements are being made. Also, it is being investigated whether the infected patients are locals or have returned from traveling from outside.

State government on alert mode, advisory issued

Meanwhile, in view of the rapidly increasing number of cases, the Delhi Health Department has directed hospitals to make adequate arrangements of necessary resources such as beds, medicines, oxygen, ventilators, and oxygen concentrators. Four new corona patients also in Ghaziabad

New cases of infection have also been reported in Ghaziabad. According to the health department, an 18-year-old woman from Brij Vihar tested positive at Yashoda Hospital, Kaushambi after she complained of fever, cough and cold. Apart from this, a couple from Vasundhara region who recently returned from Bengaluru have also been confirmed to be infected.

Increasing cases in Haryana, Gujarat and UP

In the last 48 hours, 5 new cases of corona have been reported in Haryana. Special beds have been reserved at PGI Rohtak and the screening process has been expedited. The situation in Gujarat is also becoming worrisome, with Ahmedabad reporting 20 new cases in a single day.

New variant of Corona

The new variant JN.1 and its sub-variants LF7 and NB1.8 are believed to be responsible for the rising cases of Covid in the country. However, there is no clear information about the severity of the threat of these variants.
