The group consists of 35 men, 27 women, and 28 children. They mentioned arriving in Mathura 3-4 months prior, having previously resided in a neighboring state. Previously, the Uttar Pradesh government had ramped up efforts to identify and deport Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators residing in the state.

Authorities have reported that measures have already been implemented against Pakistani nationals residing unlawfully, and similar efforts are now directed towards Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigrants. It has been discovered that numerous individuals are residing under altered identities in various districts of the state. Orders have been dispatched to District Magistrates, Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), and Police Commissioners across all districts to accelerate the identification process.
