Border states on High Alert after India's missile strikes
In retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, India conducted missile strikes on terror bases, leading to increased border tensions. With Pakistan's retaliatory firing, Punjab and Rajasthan are on high alert, resulting in closed educational institutions and canceled police holidays to ensure safety and preparedness.
Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India executed precise missile strikes to eliminate nine terrorist sites in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Subsequently, Pakistan has been engaging in firing along the Line of Control. As a result, the governments of border states such as Punjab and Rajasthan, which share boundaries with Pakistan, have heightened their alert status. During this time, instructions have been issued to shut down schools and colleges and revoke police personnel leave.
