Following the Pahalgam attack, the Indian government plans to take significant measures against Pakistan. The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed all states to conduct mock drills on May 7. These drills aim to prepare citizens for emergencies, including air attacks, and teach them how to protect themselves during such situations. The exercises are intended to raise awareness about the importance of ensuring citizen safety. Let's explore all the details concerning the Civil Defense Mock Drill.
What is a mock drill?
The Civil Defence mock drill is not just a method for demonstrating ways to safeguard civilians during war or emergencies. It shows how citizens can assist not only themselves but also others in challenging circumstances. This drill is crucial for navigating situations such as war or disaster and should be regarded as a vital practice. It equips individuals to handle any emergency scenario and can save lives. Experts note that similar mock drills are conducted in numerous European countries, where the government instructs citizens on self-defense in war-like situations.
