Anant Ambani to lead at Reliance Industries as Executive Director
Anant Ambani has been named Executive Director of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) as part of the company's strategy to transition leadership to the next generation. Previously a non-executive director, Anant will now take on an active role in India's largest corporation.
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has made a major change in its board of directors by appointing Anant Ambani as an executive director for a period of five years with effect from May 1, 2025. The decision is part of the company's succession plan to hand over responsibilities to the new generation of the Ambani family. Anant Ambani, who was till now employed as a non-executive director of the company, will now play an active executive role in India's largest company.
Anant is known as a power-saviour of risky industries, especially green and consumer energy ventures. He is already playing a key role as the Director of Reliance New Energy Energy Association. Apart from this, he is also a director in Jio Platforms and Reliance Ventures. Mukesh Ambani had already divided the business among his three children Akash, Isha and Anant.
Reliance Company recently released its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, registering a net profit of Rs 19,407 crore, an increase of 2.4 per cent. During this period, the turnover of the company increased to Rs 264573 crore. Anant Ambani's new role is being linked to the company's strong performance and future strategies.
