Who can take the exam?
It is widely recognized that to secure admission to the leading IITs in the country, a high score in JEE Advanced is essential. Only the top 250,000 students from JEE MAIN 2025 are eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced exam. The NTA has announced the qualifying cut-off based on the JEE MAIN 2025 results.
This year, the general cutoff for JEE Main 2025 has been set at 93.1023262. The cutoff for EWS is 80.3830119, for OBC it is 79.4313582, for SC it is 61.1526933, and for ST it is 47.9026465. Last year, the general cutoff was 93.2362181, which is slightly higher than this year's cutoff.
When will the exam be held?
The JEE Advanced exam will be conducted by IIT Kanpur on May 18, 2025. This exam will be done in 2 shifts. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The admit card will be released a week before the exam. The link to download the admit card will be released on the website by May 18.
According to the information, the provisional answer key will be released by May 26, and if there is any objection by 5 pm on May 27, you can also file it. The results will be declared on June 2. After which the candidates will be able to see their results by visiting the official website. The final answer key will also be released along with the result.
JOSAA & AAT
After the exam results are out, the JoSAA counselling process for admission to institutes like IIT and NIT+ will begin on June 3. The registration architecture for AAT 2025 will begin on June 2 for the candidates, IIT Kanpur. The exam will be held on June 5 and the results will be declared on June 8.
