NSA's sentencing will be completed on April 23

The ongoing discussion between the Union Home Ministry and the Home Department of Punjab may be hampered by the case registered under the NSA as it is believed that Amritpal Singh's sentence is being discussed for enhancement but only two years of punishment is given under the NSA and it is going to be completed on April 23. In such a situation, Amritpal Singh will be brought to Punjab or will have to stay in Assam jail after increasing the sentence.

Action against Amritpal Singh under UAPA

Amritpal Singh has been booked under the NSA, but Amritpal Singh, who is serving a two-year sentence, can now be booked under the UAPA. Amritpal Singh, who is lodged in Assam's Dibrugarh jail, was booked under the UAPA in connection with the murder of the activist. Action can now be taken under the UAPA to further the sentence of Amritpal Singh.
