The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out searches at the residence of Rajasthan Congress leader and ex-minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas as part of its investigation into the Pearl Agro Corporation Limited case. The operation covered more than 15 locations, including the homes of Congress leader Partap Singh Khachariyawas and AAP leader Kulwant Singh in Punjab, related to an alleged Rs 48,000 crore investor fraud case.

Khachariyawas stated that this is a politically driven move because he opposes the government. He has been vocal about his stance. Speaking to reporters outside his home, he asserted that he had done nothing wrong and was not intimidated by the ED. Upon learning about the ED's actions, his supporters gathered outside his house and began chanting slogans in his favor.

An investigative team visited the ancestral home of Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, the nephew of Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, and carried out searches.s. "They have come with a notice to search the premises," Khachariyawas told reporters. He did not provide any information regarding any company. It is claimed that the company had unlawfully gathered at least Rs 49,100 crore from 58 million investors over 18 years.

The investigations are related to an alleged Rs 48,000 crore investor scam involving Pearl Agro Corporation Ltd (PACL). Furthermore, an FIR has been lodged against the associates of the late Nirmal Singh Bhangoo for the illegal sale of properties owned by PACL and its affiliated entities.

They mentioned that the agency is conducting searches at 15 sites across Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Delhi related to the case. Backing the central agencies, Rajasthan minister and BJP leader Jogaram Patel justified the ED's actions, asserting that the agency operates autonomously.
