On April 15, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta cautioned the management that stringent measures would be taken if private schools raised fees without justification.

Chief Minister Rekha stated that her administration is dedicated to maintaining transparency in education and safeguarding children's rights. The Delhi department has requested a response from private schools regarding this issue. Rekha Gupta informed PTI that no school has the authority to harass parents about fees or to unjustly expel students.

A parent of a student at Queen Mary School claimed that the school unexpectedly raised its fees last year. 'When we refused to pay the additional amount, the school confined my daughter to the library and prevented her from attending any classes.'

Order for cancellation of registration of school

"They have received a complaint about a private school in Model Town alleging that the school manager is allegedly increasing fees. Students are being expelled from school for not paying increased fees. "Today, a case has come to light at Queen Mary School in Model Town, where parents have complained about wrongful fees charged and students being expelled from the school. After receiving the complaint of the parents, the CM called up the Education Department officer and directed him to cancel the registration of Queen Mary School in Model Town immediately.
