During International Women's Day, Tejashwi Yadav, a leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's administration, alleging that it has not adequately addressed women's issues in the state.
Tejashwi Yadav posted a video critiquing Nitish Kumar, calling him the "self-proclaimed creator of the universe" and "self-obsessed." He questioned the Chief Minister's commitment to women's welfare and asked who would hold him accountable for the ongoing problems affecting women in the state. Tejashwi Yadav wrote on social media platform X, "Who will tie the bell of these factual figures around the neck of the self-proclaimed creator of the universe, the only knower of the universe and the self-obsessed Chief Minister of Bihar? His Bhunja Party or retired officers??"

He added, 'After watching this video, you can determine who respects women in the House and in Bihar, and who is continually insulting them.' The video shared by Tejashwi Yadav was from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, highlighting issues faced by women in Bihar, such as 63% of pregnant women being malnourished and anemic, a maternal mortality rate of 118, increasing cases of breast and cervical cancer, and only 59% of women in the state using menstrual products. In his post, Tejashwi Yadav also criticized Nitish Kumar's party, the JDU, and retired officers, suggesting they might not be able to bring about change either. He asserted that the Health Ministry's figures would clarify which party genuinely respects women in the Bihar Legislative Assembly and which party is disrespecting them.

On Friday, Tejashwi Yadav participated in a demonstration held by the Bihar State University Guest Assistant Professor Association. He expressed that it was unjust to disregard the years of dedication and effort of the guest professors who have been serving in the state's universities and colleges for many years. He also urged the Bihar government to promptly make a favorable decision regarding the regularization of service, permanency, and weightage in examinations for the already experienced and trained professors.
