Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has made major changes in the organization on Friday. Under this reshuffle, new general secretaries and in-charges for several states have been appointed, while many senior leaders have been removed from their posts.

Baghel and Naseer Hussain have important responsibilities

Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Rajya Sabha MP Syed Naseer Hussain have been appointed general secretaries of the Congress. Along with this, Baghel has been given the responsibility of Punjab and Naseer Hussain has been given the responsibility of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

New in-charges in many states including Bihar

The Congress has changed the in-charges of many states including Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana.

Bihar: Krishna Allavaru replaces Mohan Prakash as new in-charge

Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh: Rajni Patil replaces Rajeev Shukla.

Haryana: B.K. Hariprasad takes charge as new in-charge.

Madhya Pradesh: Harish Chaudhary gets the responsibility.

Tamil Nadu and Puducherry: Girish Chodankar takes charge

Odisha: Ajay Kumar Lallu appointed.

Jharkhand: K. Raju was given the responsibility.

Telangana: Meenakshi Natarajan takes charge

Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim and Nagaland: Saptagiri Sankara Ulaka was appointed.

Many senior leaders leave

In this change, the Congress withdrew the charge of the states from many old leaders. They are Deepak Babaria, Mohan Prakash, Bharatsinh Solanki, Rajiv Shukla, Devendra Yadav and Ajay Kumar.

Changes in Maharashtra Congress

The Congress on Thursday appointed Harshvardhan Sapkal as the president of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee.

Political Significance
