Worshippers gathered in large numbers the Har Ki Pauri Ghat on Wednesday to take a dip in the Ganga river and offer prayers on the occasion of Maghi Purnima. Meanwhile, a huge rush of devotees thronged Prayagraj on the occasion of Magh Purnima at the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025. Adesh Kumar, one of the devotees from Delhi, appreciated the arrangements made across the city. "I have come here from Delhi planning to take a bath on Maghi Purnima today. The arrangements here are very good.

Increasing number of devotees

Devotees and ascetics who took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam of Mahakumbh were showered with flowers. According to official figures, over 48 crore pilgrims have taken the holy dip so far. According to officials, the number of devotees is expected to increase further in the coming days as the fair progresses with more auspicious bathing dates.

At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath monitored the Magh Purnima 'bath' being held in Sangam from his office. The Chief Minister extended hearty greetings to the people on this auspicious occasion on social media and said that by the grace of Lord Shri Hari, may everyone's life be filled with happiness, prosperity and good fortune. I wish that Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna and Maa Saraswati fulfil the wishes of all.

Mahakumbh till 26 February
The Maha Kumbh 2025, which begins on January 13, 2025, is the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from all over the world. The grand event will continue till Mahashivratri on February 26.
