President Murmu's Maha Kumbh visit: prayers and sangam Dip
On Monday, the country's first civilian President Draupadi Murmu will step on the holy land of Prayagraj and witness its grandeur and divinity. The President will be in Prayagraj for over eight hours during which she will take a Sangam bath and offer prayers at the Akshayavat and Bade Hanuman temple here. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present on the occasion.
President Murmu will reach Sangam Noj in the morning and take a dip of faith at Triveni Sangam. The President will take a dip in the confluence of Mother Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati to give a strong base to Sanatan Aastha. This will be a historic moment for the first citizen of the country to take a holy dip in Sangam. Earlier, the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, also took a holy bath in Mahakumbh.
President Droupadi Murmu will then offer prayers at the Akshayavat temple to further strengthen the religious faith. In Sanatan culture, Akshayavat is considered a symbol of immortality. It is an important place of Hinduism, whose importance is also described in the Puranas. Apart from this, she will also visit the Bade Hanuman temple and offer prayers and pray for the happiness and prosperity of the countrymen.
The President will lend her support to the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to link religious observances with modern India and the digital age. She will visit the Digital Maha Kumbh Experience Centre, in which detailed information about the Maha Kumbh Mela is being made available through technical means. Devotees from all over the country and abroad have been set up here to experience this wonderful event more closely. The President will leave Prayagraj for New Delhi at 6.45 pm.
This visit of the President will not only be historic for Prayagraj, but will also be an inspirational moment for the devotees across the country.
