For the benefit of the people of Srinagar, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has organized a two-day housing loan and PM Surya Ghar loan exhibition. A large number of people participated in the exhibition held in Srinagar on 7th and 8th February. The main objective of this exhibition was to provide financial assistance to the customers in buying their dream home and setting up a solar power plant under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. Senior bank officials and loan experts were present on the spot to assist in the completion of loan formalities to make the process hassle-free. The purpose of this loan exhibition was to educate people about the benefits of PM Surya Ghar Yojana and how a common man can save his hard-earned money along with electricity by availing this facility.

"The exhibition is being organised specifically to facilitate people who wish to avail home loan for construction of a house. Apart from this, this exhibition is also being organized to facilitate those interested in taking loans under the Surya Ghar scheme for setting up solar power plants on rooftops under PM Surya Ghar Yojana. The bank is offering home loans at 8.40 per cent and rooftop solar power plants at 7 per cent interest rate. "

With the increase in population, the need for electricity is also increasing. People are increasingly opting for low-cost solar energy. During the exhibition, officials of Punjab National Bank (PNB) also organized programs to facilitate those interested in taking home loans to build their dream home.

PNB has organised such fairs at 138 places across the country. The objective of this fair is twofold - to promote low interest rate home loans of PNB and PM Surya Ghar Yojana. We want more people to take advantage of it. PNB's circle head for Kashmir and Ladakh region, Neeraj Kumar Anand, told PTI that so far the response has been very good.
