AAP's Delhi loss signals change in Punjab: Congress chief

AAP's Delhi defeat has an impact on Punjab politics

Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warding's first reaction to the party's defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections has come first. He said that even though the party did not get a single seat in the Delhi elections, our vote percentage increased there. Speaking to the media on Sunday, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warding said, "Earlier also our seat in Delhi was zero, but this time the vote share of Congress has increased. During Sheila Dikshit's government, our vote shifted to the Aam Aadmi Party, due to which we were not able to perform well in the elections.

I think the coming time will be better for the Congress. This time the Congress had given good candidates and the result of this was that the Congress appeared to be fighting in the elections. After 27 years, the BJP government has come to power in Delhi, while the Congress is out of power for just 12 years. I think the Congress will rectify its shortcomings," he said.

He targeted the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab. "Punjab does not have a government based on morality. The defeat of Kejriwal and Sisodia and the defeat of the Aam Aadmi Party in the elections will have an impact on the government here. I hope there will be a 100 per cent change in the 2027 assembly elections," he said. "
