PM to tackle opposition's claims in Parliament session

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the motion of thanks to President Droupadi Murmu's address in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, the fourth day of the Budget Session of Parliament. Earlier, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi had responded to the motion of thanks to President Droupadi Murmu's address. During this time, he attacked the NDA-led central government. In the debate on the motion of thanks to President Droupadi Murmu's address, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Modi government's 'Make in India' initiative has failed to revive it and the share of manufacturing in GDP has come down from 15.3 per cent of GDP in 2014 to 12.6 per cent in 2017. That's the lowest in 60 years.

Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, while discussing the caste census, said that applying AI on such data will create many possibilities. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said during the speech of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi that he had asked the Leader of the Opposition four times to substantiate his claims, but the Leader of the Opposition spoke without giving necessary evidence and left the House. Leader of the Opposition is a responsible post and he should present his statements carefully. He should authenticate his statements, if he is not able to authenticate it, the Speaker should take action," he said.

Demand for discussion on Maha Kumbh Stampede
On the third day of the Budget Session, opposition MPs created a ruckus during Question Hour and demanded a discussion on the Mahakumbh stampede, which led to several MPs walking out of the House. Congress MP Angomcha Bimol will also present the 360th report on the action taken by the government on the recommendations and observations contained in the 354th report on the review of the National Youth Empowerment Programme. He will also present the 361st report on the action taken by the government in the 341st report on the review of education standards, accreditation process, research, and examination reforms in deemed private universities and higher education institutions belonging to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education.

The first part of the Budget session will end on February 13

Lok Sabha MP Iqra Chaudhuri will present the 158th Report on Action Taken by the Government on the recommendations and observations in the 148th Report on Mental Healthcare and its Management about the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The first part of the session will continue till February 13 and both the Houses will meet on March 10 and conclude on April 4.
