Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday inspected various arrangements for the 38th National Games at Maharana Pratap Sports Stadium in Raipur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inspected the food arrangements. He served food to the players and also sat and dined with the players. The Chief Minister also interacted with players from several states who participated in various sports events and encouraged them. CM Dhami said that the 38th National Games have started well in the state, and the state government is trying to take all the players with a good experience from Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.

"Efforts have been made to provide all possible facilities to the players and visitors. He also emphasized that the experience of the National Games will prove to be very useful for the state. The Chief Minister said that efforts have been made to provide food arrangements to the players of every state according to the food there. The Chief Minister is taking updates of the National Games from the officials every moment and is personally inspecting various arrangements.

On January 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 38th National Games in Dehradun and congratulated Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his team for this excellent event. PM Modi emphasized that India now hosts several sporting events throughout the year. The Youth Games, University Games and Paralympic Games as well as the inclusion of new tournaments in the Khelo India Series have given a platform to young athletes.

He spoke about the recent Khelo India Winter Games held in Ladakh and the Beach Games for the first time last year. Referring to his constituency, Kashi, Modi said around 2.5 lakh youth participate in sports competitions there every year, which shows the growing opportunities in Indian sports. Underlining the link between sports and national prestige, the Prime Minister said excellence in sports strengthens the image of the country. The 38th National Games are being held in Uttarakhand during its silver jubilee year and are being held from January 28 to February 14 in 11 cities of eight districts of Uttarakhand.
