Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Present Awards at Navy Civilian Event
The Indian Navy is set to host the 'Navy Civilian Year Celebrations' today, showcasing remarkable collaboration between uniformed officers and naval civilian staff. Navy civilians are employed by the Navy but are not part of the military. They carry out a range of supportive roles in naval operations.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will serve as the chief guest at the event, which is scheduled to take place at DRDO Bhawan in New Delhi on January 17. The event aims to inspire and highlight the significant achievements and contributions of naval personnel. The event will feature a display of photographs and paintings that showcase the efforts, lives, and stories of naval civilians.
It will highlight the important contributions and accomplishments of naval civilians in different areas of the Navy's activities, according to the Defence Ministry. The Defence Minister will meet the recipients of the Prime Minister's Shram Award. They have shown remarkable talent, commitment, and creativity in their respective areas.
The Naval Chief will emphasize the crucial role of naval staff in operations at this event. Additionally, a short film showcasing the spirit, dedication, and contributions of these personnel will be shown during the Navy Civilian Year celebrations.
The movie will honor his achievements and contributions. A unique song titled 'Jee Jaan Lagan Se' has been created specifically for Navy personnel. The appeal of this song lies in the fact that its lyricists, composers, and singers are all civilian Navy employees.
Members of the Navy's Central Band play the instruments, showcasing a remarkable blend of naval civilians and uniformed sailors. The song, performed by singers, will be presented live at the Navy Civilian Year event.
At the event, chosen naval civilians will be honored. The Defence Minister will present meritorious and cash awards in six categories to acknowledge their substantial contributions to the Navy's achievements. The Indian Navy remains dedicated to equally acknowledging the joint efforts of both its uniformed and civilian staff.
