Union Minister to Allocate 8.21 Lakh New Houses in MP

Union Minister hands over houses to over 8.21 lakh people

Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will hand over 8,21,190 pucca houses constructed for Rs 12,636 crore to the beneficiaries in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh today. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, and senior officers of the Union Ministry of Rural Development will also be present on the occasion. During the event, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister will also conduct the certification of Lakhpati Didi through curtain raiser and the Griha Pravesh ceremony in the houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin.

As per the Housing 2018 list, 16.42 lakh families are on the waiting list in Madhya Pradesh. For Madhya Pradesh, 8.21 lakh houses will be allotted and a target has been set to complete these houses in a time-bound manner.
