Indian Naval Ship INS Surveyor has concluded the initial stage of the collaborative hydrographic survey at Port Louis, enhancing maritime cooperation between India and Mauritius, according to the Indian Navy on Wednesday.

R Soroojbali, the Commissioner of Police of the Mauritius Police Force, visited the ship and received an update on the survey work's progress. The Commanding Officer of INS Surveyor had a meeting with Anurag Srivastava, the Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius.

Ship's crew participated in several outreach activities, incl community service initiative and medical camp. The crew of INS Sarvekshak participated in various outreach activities including community service initiatives and medical camps. The ship was thrown open for visitors, where they had the opportunity to explore the advanced scientific research and hydrography capabilities of the Indian Navy.

INS Sarvekshak arrived in Port Louis, Mauritius on December 26 to carry out a joint hydrographic survey. Upon its arrival, the vessel was greeted by India's High Commissioner to Mauritius, Anurag Srivastava, Commandant of the Mauritius National Coast Guard, Captain CG Binop, along with other military and civilian dignitaries.

The Defence Ministry previously stated in a press release that the ongoing visit underscores the robust maritime collaboration between India and Mauritius, demonstrating their mutual dedication to regional progress.
