According to the Uttar Pradesh government, since the beginning of Maha Kumbh 2025 on Monday, 40 lakh devotees have taken a holy dip in Sangam till 8:00 am. The 45-day religious event, which began today with a holy bath, will witness the largest gathering ever, with over 40 crore people expected to attend. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the start of Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj on Monday, describing it as a very special day for crores of people who uphold Indian values and culture.

Maha Kumbh 2025 begins in Prayagraj, bringing together countless people in a holy confluence of faith, devotion and culture. The Mahakumbh symbolizes India's eternal spiritual heritage and celebrates faith and harmony. Expressing his happiness on seeing the influx of pilgrims and tourists to Prayagraj, PM Modi wished all pilgrims and tourists a wonderful stay.
Smooth Movement and Security of Vehicles for Devotees
Security personnel were on high alert and patrolled on boats and horses to ensure the safety of the devotees at the historic religious congregation. NDRF teams and Jal Police of Uttar Pradesh Police have been deployed at various places to ensure safety of the devotees. Traffic police authorities have made elaborate arrangements and implemented elaborate plans to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and security for the devotees visiting the Maha Kumbh Mela.
