Delhi-Meerut Travel Eases as PM Modi Opens NaMo Bharat Corridor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to present a significant gift to Delhi.

In a major step towards improving regional connectivity, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate a 13-kilometer section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut NaMo Bharat corridor, worth around Rs 4,600 crore, connecting Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar.

Around 11:15 am, he will board the Namo Bharat train at Sahibabad RRTS station and travel to New Ashok Nagar RRTS station.

This inauguration will mark the introduction of NaMo Bharat connectivity in Delhi for the first time.

It is to be noted that this will facilitate travel between Delhi and Meerut, benefiting millions with safer, more reliable, high-speed, and comfortable transportation.

The Prime Minister is set to inaugurate the 2.8-kilometer section between Janakpuri and Krishna Park of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, costing approximately Rs 1,200 crore. This first segment of Delhi Metro Phase-IV to be opened will serve areas like Krishna Park in West Delhi, along with parts of Vikaspuri and Janakpuri, as stated in the release.

Prime Minister Modi will initiate the groundwork for the 26.5-kilometer Rithala-Kundli segment of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, with an estimated expenditure of approximately Rs 6,230 crore.

This corridor will link Rithala in Delhi with Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, greatly enhancing connectivity between Delhi and the north-western regions of Haryana. Key areas such as Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and Kundli will benefit, improving access to residential, commercial, and industrial zones.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the foundation stone for the new advanced building of the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini, New Delhi, which is set to be built at an approximate cost of Rs 185 crore.

The campus will offer cutting-edge healthcare and medical facilities. The updated structure will feature administrative areas, outpatient departments (OPD), inpatient departments (IPD), and a specialized treatment section, providing a thorough and seamless healthcare experience for both patients and researchers.
