Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 93 on Saturday. Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has expressed grief after the news came out.

In a post on X on Thursday, he mentioned that Manmohan Singh's life would serve as an inspiration for future generations.

Gautam Adani wrote in the post, "Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr Manmohan Singh. History will forever honour his pivotal role in the transformative 1991 reforms that reshaped India and opened its doors to the world. A rare leader who spoke softly but achieved monumental strides through his actions, Dr Singh's life remains a masterclass in leadership, humility and service to the nation and will inspire generations to come."

Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92 on Thursday night. He had been hospitalized following a decline in his health. He passed away while receiving medical care. He served as the prime minister from 2004 to 2014 and was the Leader of the Opposition from 1998 to 2004.

Following the Congress party's triumph in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, he was appointed as the 14th Prime Minister. He served as Prime Minister during both UPA-1 and UPA-2. Manmohan Singh was sworn in as Prime Minister for the first time on May 22, 2004, and for the second time on May 22, 2009.

Dr. Manmohan Singh was born on September 26, 1932, in Gah, which is now located in Pakistan's West Punjab region. His father was named Gurmukh Singh and his mother was named Amrit Kaur.

He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in economics from Punjab University in 1952 and 1954, respectively. He was the top scorer in MA Economics at the university. He graduated with an Economics Tripos from the University of Cambridge in 1957 and obtained his D.Phil. in Economics from Oxford University in 1962.

These changes gave India a new direction by pulling it out of the economic crisis.Dr. Manmohan Singh was elected to the Rajya Sabha for the first time in 1991. From 1998 to 2004, Dr. Singh held the position of Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha while the Bharatiya Janata Party was in power.
