Hyderabad: South superstar Allu Arjun has been arrested in connection with the stampede during the premiere of his film 'Pushpa 2' in Hyderabad on December 4. A 39-year-old woman was killed and her son is in critical condition. The police had registered a case against the Sandhya theatre management, the actor and his security team. Officials had said the police had no prior information that the film's team would be coming for the premiere. Arjun was detained on Friday by a team from Chikkadpally police station where the case was registered.

35-Year-Old Woman was Killed in Stampede

A 35-year-old woman was killed and her son was injured in a stampede at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. After the incident, both were admitted to Durga Bhai Deshmukh Hospital in Vidya Nagar. Doctors declared the woman dead.
