Zero Hour Notice Given by Sanjay Singh Over Bus Marshals, CDVs Issue
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday gave a Zero Hour notice in Parliament on the issue of appointment of bus marshals and civil defence volunteers.
A conflict broke out between the AAP administration and the BJP regarding the deployment of Civil Defence Volunteers (CDVs) as marshals in public buses in Delhi.
Discussion on Appointment of Bus Marshals and CDVs
In October last year, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. The bus marshals had protested for their reinstatement in October after Saxena terminated their services.
These bus marshals were appointed to ensure safety and security of women in buses plying in the national capital.
Earlier on December 3, AAP MP Raghav Chadha had filed an adjournment notice in Rajya Sabha under Rule 267 to discuss the "deteriorating law and order" situation and "rise in crimes" in the national capital.

Rising Crime in Delhi
"The figures of leading newspapers for 2024 highlight the alarming crime situation in the capital.
Dacoity cases increased by 23 per cent, theft cases increased by 25.2 percent and attempt to murder by 18 per cent. "Delhi tops the list of crimes against women among metro cities. This clearly shows the flaws in the functioning of law and order.
